THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES TRAINING AND SUPPORT TO STUDENT LAW CLERKS, NEW PUBLICDEFENDERS, CHIEF DEFENDERS AND OTHER INDIGENT DEFENSE PROVIDERS. THE PROGRAM ISDESIGNED TO BUILD A COMMITTED, CONSCIENTIOUS AND COMPETENT COMMUNITY OF PUBLICDEFENDERS ACROSS THE NATION DEDICATED TO A HIGH STANDARD OF LEGAL REPRESENTATION FORTHE CLIENTS THEY SERVE. DURING 2022, THE ORGANIZATION TRAINED 247 PUBLIC DEFENDERS AND OFFICE CHIEFS, INCLUDING 31 IN THE TEXAS CORE101 PROGRAM, 43 IN THE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM, AND 173 PARTICIPANTS IN THE CORE101 PUBLIC DEFENDER PARTICIPANTS IN THE NATIONAL PROGRAM.
