NEW YORK NY, MAY 20-22LIMMUD FSU MOUNTED ITS FIRST 3-DAY CONFERENCE IN NORTH AMERICA SINCE THE PANDEMIC FOR SOME 500 PARTICIPANTS FROM THE NEW YORK AREA. IT FEATURED LITERARY READINGS, A DISCUSSION OF ANTISEMITISM IN THE PANDEMIC ERA, JEWISH THOUGHT AND SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERIES, JEWELRY MAKING,CLIMATE CHANGE AND EXOTIC FRUITS. THERE WERE SESSIONS THAT DISCUSSED THE GEO-POLITICAL SITUATION IN THE FSU AND LOCAL VOLUNTEER-BASED ACTIVITIES TO HELP REFUGEES FROM UKRAINE.
TIBERIAS ISRAEL, MAY 13-14 AND DECEMBER 1-3SOME 1,300 PARTICIPANTS WITH ROOTS IN THE FSU GATHERED ON THE SHORES OF THE KINNERET IN THE CITY OF TIBERIAS FOR DAYS OF INTENSE LEARNING.
LIMMUD COMMUNITY LABSAS A JOINT PROJECT WITH THE ISRAELI MINISTRY OF DIASPORA AFFAIRS, COORDINATORS WERE RECRUITED, FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE, TO PROVIDE A UNIQUE FRAMEWORK FOR JEWISH LEARNING AND ACTIVISM BASED ON THE LIMMUD FSU MODEL. GRASS-ROOTS PROGRAMS ARE DEVELOPED BOTH ONLINE AND OFFLINE.
