Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
DURING COVID-19, WE MADE A DECISION TO SCALE BACK OUR PROGRAMMING, AND THIS CONTINUED DURING 2022. FOR THE PROGRAMMING THAT WE DID OPERATE, WE STRUCTURED THE PROGRAMMING CALENDAR WITH THE INTENT TO MAXIMIZE IMPACT UPON PARTICIPANTS SERVED, RATHER THAN SERVE PARTICIPANTS IN A "QUICK BURST, AND ONE TIME ONLY, FOR LIMITED CLOCK TIME. AS ALWAYS, OUR OVER-ARCHING GOAL WAS, AS IT PERPETUALLY IS, TO OFFER PARTICIPANTS A RICHER EXPERIENCE: MORE REGULAR AND MEANINGFUL (I.E., REPEATED) EXPOSURE TO OUR LIFE SKILLS EXPERIENCE CURRICULUM, RESULTING IN GREATER SELF-EXPLORATION AND DEEPER LEARNING. OUR PROGRAM LOCATIONS INCLUDED GOLF FACILITIES, AREA SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY AGENCIES, AND OTHER YOUTH-SERVING PROGRAMS. IN 2022, CAPITOL AREA GOLF FOR YOUTHS TRANSITIONED TO HOLDING PROGRAMMING AT WOODSIDE GOLF COURSE. THIS SITE IS A PUBLIC GOLF COURSE WHICH ENABLES THE MID-MICHIGAN AREA TO OFFER A PUBLIC PLACE FOR RESIDENTS TO FULLY PRACTICE GOLF. THIS PUBLIC FACILITY IS OPEN TO ALL; AND OFFERS A FULL SPECTRUM OF GOLF PRACTICE AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT. HAVING DOMAIN OF THIS FACILITY ENHANCES OUR PROGRAM EXPERIENCE FOR PARTICIPANTS, AS IT IS LARGE ENOUGH TO SIMULTANEOUSLY ACCOMMODATE IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES, WHILE THE GENERAL (PAYING) PUBLIC IS AT WORK PRACTICING GOLF. THE LOCATION ALSO PROVIDES ACCESS TO PARTICIPANTS FROM THE GREATER MID-MICHIGAN AREA.
