COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS OF SPOKANE COUNTY PROVIDED BASIC NEEDS TO MORE THAN 11,000 STUDENTS IN FOUR HIGH SCHOOLS, SIX MIDDLE SCHOOLS, AND ELEVEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN AIRWAY HEIGHTS, CHENEY, MEDICAL LAKE, SPOKANE AND SPOKANE VALLEY. BASIC NEEDS INCLUDE FOOD, CLOTHING, HYGIENE SUPPLIES AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES. OUR SITE COORDINATORS IDENTIFY THE CHILDREN WHO ARE THE MOST AT-RISK FOR ACADEMIC FAILURE, SET AN ACADEMIC GOAL WITH EACH CHILD AND DEVELOP A PLAN TO KEEP THAT CHILD FROM FAILING. SITE COORDINATORS BROKER INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL SERVICES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, MONITOR AND DOCUMENTS EACH CHILD'S PROGRESS, AND ADVOCATE FOR THE CHILD AND FAMILY.
