THE SOCIETY IS ORGANIZED TO BRING RESOURCES TOGETHER TO PLANT, LANDSCAPE, AND BEAUTIFY THE PUBLIC AREAS OF OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE CO-OPERATION.

THE SOCIETY PAID FOR PLANT MATERIAL, HARDSCAPES AND PLANTING AND INSTALLATION COSTS FOR PUBLIC PARKS, FACILITIES AND RIGHT OF WAY IN MUNICIPALITIES AND UNINCORPORATED AREAS IN ALAMANCE COUNTY, NC. ASSISTANCE WAS ALSO PROVIDED TO 501(C)3 PUBLIC CHARITIES TO ASSIST THEM WITH LANDSCAPE ENHANCEMENT PROJECTS. IN ADDITION, WORK CONTINUES TOWARD COMPLETION OF THE BURLINGTON ARBORETUM AT WILLOWBROOK PARK WHICH IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT JUNE 30, 2022. AT JUNE 30, 2022, 332,500 OF DONATIONS HAVE BEEN COLLECTED BUT UNSPENT TOWARD THIS PROJECT. IT IS ANTICIPATED THE BALANCE WILL BE SPENT IN COMPLETING THE PROJECT DURING THE YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2023. IN ADDITION, AT JUNE 30, 2022 THE SOCIETY HAS COMMITTED TO NON-ARBORETUM PROJECTS TOTALLING 58,000 OUT OF UNRESTRICTED FUNDS.
