ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY TO SUPPORT YOUTH AND ADULT SPORTS IN JUNEAU,ALASKA, BY, AMONG OTHER THINGS, PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR THE USE OF SPORTS CLUBS, TEAMS AND LEAGUES.

DIMOND PARK FIELD HOUSE MANAGES AND MAINTAINS A 29,000 SQUARE FOOT FIELDHOUSE FACILITY. THE FACILITY HOUSES AN INDOOR TURF FIELD, THREE LANE RUNNING TRACK AND A VARIETY OF EQUIPMENT. DURING 2021 THE FACILITY WAS UTILIZED BY THE LOCAL POPULATION AND VARIOUS SCHOOL AND NON-PROFIT AGENCIES FOR A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT SPORTS AND ACTIVITIES; INCLUDING SOCCER, BASEBALL, SOFTBALL, FLAG FOOTBALL AND RUNNING/WALKING.
LOCAL HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM USES THE DIMOND PARK FIELD HOUSE TO SATISFY PHYSICAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLED YOUTH. THE DIMOND PARK FIELD HOUSE ALSO OPERATES A PROGRAM CALLED TURF FOR TOTS WHICH IS GEARED TOWARD YOUTH THAT ARE UNDER SCHOOL AGE. THE FACILITY PROVIDES A PLAY AREA THAT IS OUT OF THE WEATHER AND ENCOURAGES FITNESS THROUGH PHYSICAL ACTIVITY.
