ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT OF COOPERATION IN THE EURO-ATLANTIC REGION DURING 2018 FOCUSED ON SELECTED PROJECTS AND EVENTS IN POLAND AND FOR POLISH-AMERICAN COOPERATION, THE CLOSEOUT OF AIEG, THE START-UP OF A SUCCESSOR NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION AND THE TRANSITION OF CONTINUING PROJECTS AND THE NETWORK TO THIS NEW ORGANIZATION. PROJECTS ADVANCED HEALTH CARE WITH EMPHASIS ON ONCOLOGY AND APPLICATION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TO ADVANCE INNOVATION IN HEALTH CARE. PROJECT RELATED ACTIVITY INCLUDED A MAJOR MEETING OF POLISH AND AMERICAN ONCOLOGISTS IN CHICAGO, THREE VISTS TO THE UNITED STATES BY MAJOR POLISH DELEGATIONS AND POLISH-AMERICAN MEETINGS IN RICHMOND, VIRGINIA. PROJECTS AND PROJECT RELATED ACTIVITIES INVOLVED THE 200 PERSON INTERNATIONAL NETOWRK OF AIEG. THE RESULTS DEEPENED POLISH-AMERICAN COOPERATION IN HEALTH CARE AND SCIENCE. THE CLOSEOUT OF AIEG WAS APPROVED BY THE BOARD FOR DECEMBER 31, 2018 WITH THIS INFORMATION BEING SHARED WITH THE AIEG NETWORK. AIEG CONSLUDED ACTIVITIES AS PLANNED ON DECEMBER 31, 2018. DURING 2018, ACTIVITY INCLUDED SUPPORT FOR THE START-UP OF A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION BASED IN POLAND WITH PLANNED PRESENCE IN THE UNITED STATES. THIS EFFORT WAS SUCCESSFUL WITH THAT ORGANIZATION BEING LEGALLY REGISTERED IN POLAND, FOLLOWED BY TRANSITION OF AIEG CONTINUING PROJECTS AND NETWORK OF PARTICIPANTS AND EXPERTS FROM AIEG TO THE NEW ORGANIZATION COMPLETED EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 31, 2018.
