EDUCATION AND AWARENESS:SUPPLIER DIVERSITY - DISABILITY:IN'S SUPPLIER DIVERSITY PROGRAM IS THE NATION'S LEADING CERTIFIER OF BUSINESSES OWNED BY PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES, INCLUDING SERVICE-DISABLED VETERANS. THE SUPPLIER DIVERSITY PROGRAM OFFERS RESOURCES, INCLUDING LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES ON DISABILITY SUPPLIER INCLUSION AND SPECIFIC INITIATIVES DESIGNED TO SUPPORT DISABILITY INCLUSION IN THE SUPPLIER DIVERSITY PROGRAMS OF ITS BUSINESS PARTNERS. WITH THE END GOAL OF ENHANCING ACCESS TO CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES, DISABILITY:IN'S SUPPLIER DIVERSITY PROGRAM PROVIDES A CONNECTING NETWORK BETWEEN DISABILITY-OWNED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES (DOBE) AND LARGE CORPORATIONS. ENGAGEMENT EVENTS ARE HELD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND SPECIALIZED SUPPLY CHAIN/SUPPLIER DIVERSITY LEARNING SESSIONS AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES ARE OFFERED AT THE ANNUAL DISABILITY:IN CONFERENCE. CERTIFICATION AS A DOBE, V-DOBE OR SDV-DOBE THROUGH DISABILITY:IN PROVIDES A COMPETITIVE EDGE FOR BUSINESSES OWNED BY PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES BY OPENING NEW AVENUES FOR POTENTIAL BUSINESS AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES. AT THE END OF 2021, THE PROGRAM HAD 325 CERTIFIED DOBES ALONG WITH A GROWING, ACTIVE, AND CORPORATE-LED NATIONAL CERTIFICATION COMMITTEE AND PROCUREMENT COUNCIL.DISABILITY EQUALITY INDEX (DEI) THE DISABILITY EQUALITY INDEX (DEI) IS A COMPREHENSIVE BENCHMARKING TOOL THAT HELPS COMPANIES BUILD A ROADMAP OF MEASURABLE, TANGIBLE ACTIONS THAT THEY CAN TAKE TO ACHIEVE DISABILITY INCLUSION AND EQUALITY. EACH COMPANY RECEIVES A SCORE, ON A SCALE OF ZERO (0) TO 100, WITH THOSE EARNING 80 AND ABOVE RECOGNIZED AS "BEST PLACES TO WORK FOR DISABILITY INCLUSION."THE DEI IS A JOINT INITIATIVE OF THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES (AAPD), THE NATION'S LARGEST DISABILITY RIGHTS ORGANIZATION, AND DISABILITY:IN, THE GLOBAL BUSINESS DISABILITY INCLUSION NETWORK, TO COLLECTIVELY ADVANCE THE INCLUSION OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. THE ORGANIZATIONS ARE COMPLIMENTARY AND BRING UNIQUE STRENGTHS THAT MAKE THE PROJECT RELEVANT AND CREDIBLE TO CORPORATIONS AND THE DISABILITY COMMUNITY. THE TOOL WAS DEVELOPED BY THE DEI ADVISORY COMMITTEE, A DIVERSE GROUP OF BUSINESS LEADERS, POLICY EXPERTS, AND DISABILITY ADVOCATES. THE DEI WAS FIRST INTRODUCED IN 2012. A PILOT INDEX WAS CONDUCTED WITH 48 PARTICIPATING COMPANIES IN 2014. FOLLOWING THE PILOT INDEX, THE ANNUAL DEI HAS CONTINUED WITH NOW OVER 400 COMPANIES.GLOBAL DEI THE GLOBAL DISABILITY EQUALITY INDEX PILOT WAS LAUNCHED IN RESPONSE TO DISABILITY:IN PARTNERS' DESIRE TO BENCHMARK INCLUSION EFFORTS AROUND THE WORLD, BOTH WITHIN THEIR OWN BRAND AS WELL AS OTHER INDUSTRIES. THE 2021 PILOT INCLUDED 40 PARTICIPATING COMPANIES IN 30 COUNTRIES. THE QUESTIONS WERE NOT WEIGHTED OR SCORED, AS THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE PILOT WAS TO DETERMINE THE FEASIBILITY OF THE QUESTIONS AS WELL AS TO LEARN ABOUT EXISTING LEGAL FRAMEWORKS AROUND DISABILITY IN THE WORKPLACE ON A GLOBAL SCALE. FOLLOWING THE PILOT, DISABILITY:IN PLANS TO CONTINUE THE GLOBAL DEI WITH THE GOAL OF INCLUDING MORE COMPANIES AND COUNTRIES ON AN ANNUAL BASIS.INCLUSION WORKS PROGRAM INCLUSION WORKS IS A DISABILITY:IN PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES UNLIMITED, CUSTOMIZED CONSULTING ON DISABILITY INCLUSION TO PARTICIPATING COMPANIES THROUGH ACCESS TO SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS. PARTICIPATING COMPANIES ARE CONNECTED TO A COMMUNITY OF CORPORATIONS WITH EXCLUSIVE MEETINGS AND SHARED BEST AND EVOLVING PRACTICES. PARTICIPATING COMPANIES ARE UP 1,500% FROM 6 IN 2014 TO 92 IN 2021 WITH A 99% RETENTION RATE OF PARTICIPATING COMPANIES SINCE 2014. COMPANIES HIRED OVER 100,000+ NEW INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES, AN OVER 29,000% INCREASE SINCE 2014. DEI MARKED IMPROVEMENT FROM AN AVERAGE OF 68% IN 2015 TO AN AVERAGE OF 95% IN 2021.NEXTGEN LEADERS - THE NEXTGEN LEADER PROGRAM IS A SIX-MONTH CAREER MENTORING OPPORTUNITY FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS AND RECENT GRADUATES WITH DISABILITIES, INCLUDING VETERANS, THROUGH RELATIONSHIPS WITH BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS FROM DISABILITY:IN PARTNER COMPANIES. THE NEXTGEN LEADERS PROGRAM BRINGS TOGETHER EMPLOYERS AND NEXTGEN LEADERS (MENTEES) IN A MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL WAY. MENTEES MEET AND INTERACT WITH BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS IN THEIR FIELD OF STUDY OR AREA OF INTEREST AND TO WHOM THEY WOULD NOT OTHERWISE HAVE ACCESS.
