TO PROVIDE A SMALL, SAFE LEARNING COMMUNITY WHERE RESPECTFUL BEHAVIORS ARE MODELED AND EXPECTED.

Part 3 - Line 4a

PROVIDING K-12 EDUCATION INSTRUCTION TO 1,034 STUDENTS OVER THE COURSE OF THE 185 DAY SCHOOL YEAR RUNNING FROM JULY 2020 THROUGH JUNE 2021. INSTRUCTION IS PROVIDED WITH THREE BUILDINGS EACH SERVING DIFFERENT GRADE LEVELS. IRVINGTON COMMUNITY SCHOOLS ELEMENTARY SERVES NEARLY 450 STUDENTS IN GRADES K-5, MIDDLE SCHOOL SERVES OVER 240 STUDENTS IN GRADES 6-8, AND OUR HIGH SCHOOL SERVES NEARLY 350 STUDENTS IN GRADES 9-12.


IN ADDITION TO DAILY INSTRUCTION TO ALL STUDENTS IN GRADES K-12, SEVERAL STUDENTS RECEIVE ADDITIONAL MATH AND LANGUAGE ARTS INSTRUCTION THROUGH OUR TITLE I RESOURCES FUNDED WITH TITLE I GRANT PROCEEDS. TITLE I FUNDS ALLOW FOR THIRTEEN ADDITIONAL AIDS TO WORK WITH STUDENTS IN GRADES K-12 DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR THAT NEED ADDITIONAL SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION TO HELP THEM IN THE LEARNING PROCESS.


IRVINGTON COMMUNITY SCHOOLS ALSO SERVES SEVERAL STUDENTS THAT HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED WITH SPECIAL NEEDS IN GRADES K-12. THOSE IDENTIFIED STUDENTS ARE SERVICES WITH FUNDING FROM SPECIAL EDUCATION GRANT FUNDS. FUNDS HELP TO PROVIDE SEVEN SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS AND SEVEN SPECIAL EDUCATION AIDS. STAFF WORK WITH STUDENTS TO HELP THEM ACHIEVE ACADEMIC SUCCESS.
