SISTERS PLACE IS EXPLORING THE CONCEPT OF A SIP & SHOP, A NONPROFIT SOCIAL ENTERPRISE. IT WILL CONSIST OF A PART COFFEE SHOP (SIP) AND PART THRIFT BOUTIQUE (SHOP) THAT WILL SELL GOODS AND INCORPORATE A WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM. THE AIM IS FOR THE PROGRAM TO BE SELF-SUSTAINING THROUGH COFFEE AND THRIFT SHOP SALES. REVENUE WOULD BE REINVESTED INTO SISTERS PLACE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES. A BUSINESS PLAN AND CURRICULUM HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED AND FUNDING SOURCES ARE BEING EXPLORED.
