THE WOMEN'S BOARD OF PITTSBURGH DONATES FUNDS RAISED TO ORGANIZATIONS WHOSE PURPOSE IS PROMOTING THE WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN. THE FUNDS THIS YEAR WERE DONATED TO SUPPORT FOUR ORGANIZATIONS: EARTHERN VESSEL OUTREACH, FOSTER LOVE PROJECT, JOY RIDERS AND WILL ALLEN FOUNDATION. EARTHEN VESSEL OUTREACH PROVIDES BEFORE SCHOOL, AFTER SCHOOL AND SUMMER CAMPS FOR ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN. FOSTER LOVE PROJECT RUNS A "SHOPPING CENTER" TO PROVIDE FREE GOODS FOR FOSTER CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. JOY RIDERS GRANT WAS TO PURCHASE A BIKE FOR PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY DISABLED CHILDREN. WILL ALLEN FOUNDATION RUNS A "QUEST FOR SUCCESS" PROGRAM WHICH INCLUDES CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT, ROBOT KITS AND EQUIPMENT, CURRICULUM MATERIALS, STUDENT TRANSPORTATION, TECH SUPPORT, STUDENT MEALS AND WEBSITE UPGRADES.
