THE WALDORF SCHOOL OF PITTSBURGH OPERATES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRINCIPLE AND METHODS OF WALDORF EDUCATION ORIGINATED BY RUDOLF STEINER. OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY EDUCATION TO STUDENTS USING WALDORF CURRICULUM AND PEDAGOGY, THROUGH WHICH WE ACKNOWLEDGE AND HONOR THE BALANCE OF THE ARTISTIC, ACADEMIC, EMOTIONAL, AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS OF CHILDREN.

INSTRUCTION AND STUDENT ACTIVITY: TEACHING PRESCHOOL AND ELEMENTARY AGE CHILDREN. THE SCHOOL HAS A TOTAL OF 112 STUDENTS ENROLLED IN GRADES 1-8, AND 60 ENROLLED IN NURSERY AND KINDERGARTEN. THERE IS ALSO A PARENT-CHILD CLASS WITH 28 DIFFERENT FAMILIES AND A DAYCARE PROGRAM WITH 12 CHILDREN ENROLLED.
