MAINTAIN A REGISTRY OF ALL ANIMALS THAT CONFORM TO THE KATAHDIN BREED STANDARD.
COORDINATE THE EDUCATIONAL EFFORTS ABOUT KATAHDIN SHEEP, SHEEP MANAGEMENT AND SHEEP GENETICS.
COORDINATE AN ANNUAL EXPOSITION/EDUCATIONAL SYMPOSIUM AND THE ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING. THE EDUCATIONAL SYMPOSIUM INCLUDES PROGRAMMING ON SHEEP MANAGEMENT PRACTICES FOR FARMERS AND RANCHERS RAISING ALL TYPES OF SHEEP, AND PROMOTION OF HOW BEST TO USE THE KATAHDIN BREED TO IMPROVE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION AND FINANCIAL RETURN.
