THE AUXILLARY RAISES FUNDS TO PROVIDE CARE AND/OR PURCHASE EQUIPMENT THAT AIDS IN THE CARE OF PATIENTS AND SUPPORT COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING OF THE HOSPITAL. FUNDS ARE RAISED THROUGH THE DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS OF A GIFT SHOP LOCATED WITHIN THE HOSPITAL. SPECIAL SALES WERE HELD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR LINENS, FLOWERS, CANDY, AND UNIFORMS. THE AUXILLARY HAS CONTRIBUTED FUNDS TO BUTLER HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS TO HELP OFFSET THE COST OF A NEW PATIENT TOWER AND EQUIPMENT. THE AUXILLARY PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED TO BECOME PART OF THE COMMUNITY THROUGH PROVIDING VOLUNTEER SERVICES. PERHAPS ONE OF ITS MOST SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS IS THE THOUSANDS OF HOURS ADULT AND JUNIOR MEMBERS DONATE OF THEIR TIME TO BUTLER HEALTH SYSTEM.
