JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA, INC. (JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT) EMPOWERS YOUNG PEOPLE TO OWN THEIR ECONOMIC SUCCESS THROUGH VOLUNTEER DELIVERED PROGRAMS WHICH GIVE STUDENTS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN FINANCIAL LITERACY, WORK READINESS, AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING LAB: JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT BIZTOWN UPPER ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASS LEARNING WITH A DAYLONG VISIT TO THIS FULLY INTERACTIVE SIMULATED FREE MARKET FACILITY. JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT BIZTOWN HELPS STUDENTS CONNECT THE DOTS BETWEEN WHAT THEY LEARN IN SCHOOL AND THE REAL WORLD. THROUGH DAILY LESSONS, HANDS ON ACTIVITIES, AND ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN THIS SIMULATED COMMUNITY, STUDENTS DEVELOP A STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WHAT THEY LEARN IN SCHOOL AND THEIR SUCCESSFUL PARTICIPATION IN A GLOBAL ECONOMY.
