THE GREATER SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY YMCA IS A MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO ASSIST EVERYONE IN ITS SERVICE AREA IN BUILDING A HEALTHY SPIRIT, MIND AND BODY. THE YMCA WORKS TO STRENGTHEN FAMILY LIFE AND ENRICH HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS. ROOTED HISTORICALLY IN JUDEO-CHRISTIAN VALUES, THE YMCA WELCOMES INTO ITS FELLOWSHIP AND SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN OF ALL AGES, INCOMES, ABILITIES, RACES, AND RELIGIOUS POINTS OF VIEW. THE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES THE YMCA OFFERS HAVE FIVE BASIC GOALS: PROMOTING GOOD HEALTH, BUILDING STRONG FAMILIES, RAISING CONFIDENT KIDS, BEING A FORCE FOR GOOD IN OUR COMMUNITIES, AND STRIVING TO BUILD A BETTER WORD.
