CCHS OPERATES A NO-TIME LIMITS ANIMAL SHELTER SERVING THREE COUNTIES IN MICHIGAN'S UPPER PENINSULA. SINCE SHELTERING IS OUR PRIMARY PURPOSE, THE EXPENSES TABULATED HERE INCLUDE ALL ASPECTS OF SHELTER OPERATION (OCCUPANCY, PAYROLL, DEPRECIATION) AND ANIMAL CARE EXPENSES. CCHS SHELTERED 612 ANIMALS FOR AT LEAST ONE NIGHT IN FISCAL YEAR 2021.
PROVIDED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO HELP LOW INCOME PET OWNERS WITH THE COST OF SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES FOR THEIR PETS,24 PET OWNERS ASSISTED THROUGH THIS OUTREACH PROGRAM IN FISCAL YEAR 2021.
