SANTA MARIA POLICE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION IS A FRATERNAL LABOR ORGANIZATION WHICH PROVIDES ITS MEMBERS WITH SALARY NEGOTIATION, INSURANCE, LEGAL AND ADMINISTRATION SERVICES AS WELL AS SOCIAL ACTIVITIES FOR ALL MEMBERS.

MEMBERS ARE COVERED UNDER THE POLICE OFFICER'S RESEARCH ASSOCIATION OF CALIFORNIA FOR DISABILITY AND LEGAL DEFENSE INSURANCE. OTHER MEMBER BENEFITS VARY ACCORDING TO THE NEEDS OF THE SPECIFIC UNION BENEFITS NOT SUPPLEMENTED BY OTHER SOURCES, SUCH AS NEGOTIATED WITH BENEFITS WITH THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA AND THE POLICE OFFICER'S UNION.
