PAST PROJECTS INCLUDE: (A) THE RESTORATION OF THE 23-KARAT GILDING IN THE CEILINGS OF THE CASH ROOM, THE NORTHEAST STAIRCASE DOME, THE TRIPLE-SKYLIGHT DOME AND THE EAGLES AND KEYS IN THE COLUMN CAPITALS IN THE NORTH WING, AND OF THE DOUBLE SPIRAL STAIRCASE STONEWORK AND THE 1864 STAIRCASE RAILINGS IN THE WEST WING; (B) HISTORIC PRESERVATION ASSISTANCE FOR PROJECTS SUCH AS FUNDING FOR TROMP L'OEIL DECORATIVE PAINT RESEARCH AND PARTIAL RESTORATION OF SAMPLE/PROTOTYPE PANELS IN THE SOUTH CORRIDOR; (C) ACQUISITION AND RESTORATION OF AN ORIGINAL MID-19TH CENTURY OIL PORTRAIT OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN; AND (D) CREATION OF AN ENDOWMENT FUND FOR MAINTENANCE OF THE TREASURY'S COLLECTION OF FINE ART, FURNITURE AND FURNISHINGS.
