LOCAL CLASSES. OVER 25 CLASSES PER WEEK TAUGHT BY CERTIFIED TEACHERS FOR ABOUT 269 MEMBERS INCLUDING YOUTH AND BEGINNERS. COSTS INCLUDE SOME REFRESHMENTS ADVERTISEMENT AND SUPPLIES. VENUES ARE RENTED TEACHERS AND MUSICIANS ARE PAID AND FEES ARE COLLECTED FOR EACH CLASS.


ASILOMAR DANCE WORKSHOP. A YEARLY WEEKEND WORKSHOP OF CLASSES WITH A WELCOME DANCE AND A FORMAL BALL. IN CLASSES WE LEARN DANCE TECHNIQUE FORMATIONS AND WAYS TO IMPROVE SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCING TAUGHT BY INVITED TEACHERS. ALL CLASSES AND DANCE EVENTS HAVE LIVE MUSIC AND TEACHERS AT THE WORKSHOP.


MONTHLY DANCES A DANCE WHEN ALL CLASSES DANCE ONCE A MONTH WITH DANCES TAUGHT IN OUR LOCAL WEEKLY CLASSES. VALENTINE'S BALL OUR SECOND FORMAL DANCE WHEN LOCAL WEEKLY DANCERS ATTEND IN THE SPRING IN A MORE FORMAL SETTING. JEAN PATRICK MEMORIAL DANCE ON LABOR DAY WEEKEND. SIMILAR TO A MONTHLY DANCE. HELD DURING THE SCOTTISH HIGHLAND GATHERING AND GAMES IN PLEASANTON. ALL DANCE EVENTS HAVE PAID MUSICIANS. SPECIAL EVENTS INCLUDES CENTENARY BALL ROYAL SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCE SOCIETY CELEBRATES IT'S 100TH BIRTHDAY WITH A FORMAL DANCE. BOOK 53 TAPING 2 DANCES WERE SELECTED TOAST TO THE MOUSIES AND CHASED LOVERS AND WE PRODUCED THE VIDEOS THAT WAS RELEASED WITH THE RSCDS NEW BOOK 53 OF DANCES. DANCE DEVISOR A CLASS OF DANCES WRITTEN BY A SPECIFIC DANCER. WE ALSO SEND A DELEGATE TO THE REGIONAL TEACHER'S MEETING AND WORKSHOP ANNUALLY.
