THE GENERAL PURPOSES OF THE CAPITAL DISTRICT KIWANIS FOUNDATION ARE TO ASSIST NEEDY PERSONS, PARTICULARLY YOUNG PEOPLE; TO ASSIST WORTHY YOUTH IN ATTAINING VOCATIONAL EXCELLENCE; AND TO AID HANDICAPPED PERSONS IN REGAINING HAPPY, USEFUL LIVES.

KIWANIS CHILDREN'S FUND AND CLUB GRANTS - PROVIDE GRANTS TO DISTRICT KIWANIS CLUBS TO SUPPLEMENT THEIR RESOURCES FOR SERVICE IN SUPPORT OF CHILDREN, FROM MEALS TO AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES TO RECEATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. ALSO PROVIDE GRANTS TO DISTRICT CIRCLE K TO HELP DEFRAY TRAINING AND OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES.


PEDIATRIC TRAUMA GRANTS - DONATE TO PEDIATRIC TRAUMA CENTERS SUPPORTING CHILDREN LIVING IN THE CAPITAL DISTRICT.


SCHOLARSHIPS - AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN DISTRICT-BASED KEY CLUBS AND COLLAGE STUDENTS IN DISTRICT-BASED CIRLCE K CHAPTERS, AND A COMPETITIVE TEENAGER OF THE YEAR TO ONE YOUTH IN THE DISTRICT, ALL OF WHOM DEMONSTRATE OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP, COMMUNITY SERVICE, AND SCHOLARSHIP.
