PROJECTS AND COMMITTEES: SPECIAL PROJECTS ARE CARRIED OUT STATEWIDE AND IN LOCAL CHAPTERS. PROJECTS INCLUDED TRAINING FOR FAMILY CHILD CARE OWNER/OPERATORS IN PROGRAM MANAGEMENT (76 PARTICIPANTS IN 4 SEPARATE COHORTS); ALL TRAININGS HAVE CONTINUED AS VIRTUAL SYNCHRONOUS DELIVERY ONCE COVID-19 TRANSMISSION RATES. OREGON AFTER SCHOOL FOR KIDS CONTINUES AS A PROGRAM SUPPORTING AFTER SCHOOL PROFESSIONALS THROUGH CONFERENCES, TRAINING, PROGRAM EVALUATION AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE. SERVICE DELIVERY CONTINUED VIA VIRTUAL TRAINING AND CONSULTATION THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.


MEMBERSHIP SUPPORT- OAEYC MEMBERS RECEIVE EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION AND SERVICES INCLUDING INFORMATION UPDATES AND PROFESSIONAL PUBLICATIONS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO SUPPORTS LOCAL CHAPTERS AROUND OREGON. AT JUNE 30, 2022 THERE WERE 750 MEMBERS.


CONFERENCES- OAEYC HOLDS TWO MAJOR STATEWIDE CONFERENCES EACH YEAR, PROVIDING WORKSHOPS AND SPEAKERS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION. OVER 45 PROFESSIONALS ATTENDED OUR FALL CONFERENCE IN 2021. OUR SPRING 2022 CONFERENCE SAW 70 PROFESSIONALS IN ATTENDANCE. INDIVIDUAL TRAINING EVENTS & SERIES WERE ALSO PROVIDED. IN ADDITION, LOCAL CHAPTERS SPONSOR CONFERENCES AND TRAINING EVENTS. IN 2021-22 OVER 450 WERE SERVED DESPITE CONTINUED CANCELATION OF EVENTS DUE TO COVID-19.
