NEW LIFE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION WAS FORMED TO PROVIDE AN ENTITY SEPARATE FROM THE FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH TO PROMOTE LONG-TERM GIVING. THE EARNINGS ON THESE FUNDS ARE USED TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO AREAS AND OPERATIONS SURROUNDING THE CHURCH BUT NOT A DIRECT PART OF IT. THE PRINCIPAL SHALL NEVER BE SPENT.

THESE GRANTS WERE PAID TO FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH. THE GRANT MONEY IS USED FOR MINISTRIES FUNDED BY THE CHURCH AND ARE NOT USED FOR NORMAL, REOCURRING EXPENSES RELATED TO THE CHURCH BUDGET. EXAMPLES OF THIS YEARS GRANTS INCLUDE CONTRIBUTING TOWARDS TUNING OF THE ORGAN AND PIANO, FUNDING OF THE YOUTH GROUP, FUNDING FOR THE PASTORS DISCRETIONARY FUND TO HELP THE HOMELESS AND INDIGENTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO THE CHRISTIAN HIGHER EDUCATION FUND. GRANTS WERE PAID TO MISSIONS THAT ARE SUPPORTED BY THE FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH, BUT NOT TO SUPPORT THE CHURCHS OPERATING BUDGET.
