THE CORE MISSION OF ACEE IS TO PROMOTE, AND IMPROVE ECONOMIC, AND FINANCIAL EDUCATION FOR K-12 STUDENTS IN ALABAMA'S SCHOOLS. ACEE PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, PROGRAMS, AND CURRICULUM RESOURCES FOR TEACHERS IN ECONOMICS AND PERSONAL FINANCE. MULTIPLE CLASSROOM PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS ARE OFFERED THROUGHOUT THE STATE. ACEE DELIVERS CURRICULUM ALIGNED WITH ALABAMA STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION STANDARDS AND GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS.

Part 3

A SERIES OF WORKSHOPS AND OTHER CLASSROOM PROGRAMS. THE WORKSHOPS CONNECT EDUCATORS TO INDUSTRY AND ALLOWS TEACHERS TO PARTICIPATE IN INTERACTIVE HANDS ON LESSONS THE EXAMINE THE IMPORTANCE OF ALABAMA'S INDUSTRIAL ECONOMY AND HISTORY. THE PROGRAMS ARE PROJECT BASED LEARNING COMPETITIONS THAT MOTIVATE STUDENTS BY USING POPULAR MEDIA TO REINFORCE BASIC ECONOMIC PRINCIPLES.


THE STOCK MARKET GAME - OFFERED TWICE A YEAR, THE 10 WEEK ONLINE TRADING GAME IS ENJOYED BY MORE THAN 10,000 STUDENTS ANNUALLY. ACEE IS THE STATE AFFILIATE FOR THE SIFMA SPONSORED PROGRAM, WHICH IS OFFERED AROUND THE COUNTRY.


THE COSTS COVER DEVELOPMENT OF NEW WORKSHOPS, NEW PROGRAMS SUCH AS FAMILY FINANCIAL LITERACY NIGHTS, AND ACEE'S ANNUAL AWARDS LUNCHEON FOR TEACHERS AND STUDENTS.
