MUSE KNOXVILLE IS A CHILDREN'S SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ARTS AND MATH (STEAM) MUSEUM LOCATED IN TENNESSEE. ONSITE, CHILDREN LEARN ABOUT THE STARS IN OUR FULL-DOME PLANETARIUM, PLAY WITH OUR STEAM EXHIBITS, AND PARTICIPATE IN PROGRAMS LIKE "STEAM SPROUTS." OFFSITE, MUSE KNOXVILLE IS THE LARGEST PROVIDER OF SCIENCE OUTREACH PROGRAMMING IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE. PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED TEACHERS FACILITATE HANDS-ON STEAM LESSONS IN PRE-KINDERGARTEN THROUGH FIFTH GRADE CLASSROOMS ACROSS 24 COUNTIES. SINCE MUSE'S INCEPTION IN 2013 THEY HAVE SERVED OVER ONE MILLION INDIVIDUALS THROUGH VARIED PROGRAMMING. IN SPRING OF 2020 AND IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, MUSE KNOXVILLE INTRODUCED AND DEVELOPED TAKE-HOME LEARNING KITS CALLED AMUSEMENTS KITS TO HELP CHILDREN CONTINUE TO ENGAGE IN HANDS-ON STEAM LEARNING IN THE SAFETY OF THEIR HOMES.
