THE PROFESSIONAL HOCKEY PLAYERS ASSOCIATION (PHPA) IS THE RECOGNIZED COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT FOR ENROLLED PLAYERS IN THE AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE AND THE ECHL (FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE EAST COAST HOCKEY LEAGUE). THE PHPA NEGOTIATES PLAYER BENEFITS AND ASSISTS MEMBERS TO RESOLVE GRIEVANCES. THERE ARE APPROXIMATLEY 1,500 MEMBERS IN THE PHPA AT APRIL 30, 2024.
