THE ABINGTON HEIGHTS CIVIC LEAGUE INC. PROVIDES DANCE INSTRUCTION TO HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN LOCATED WITHIN ITS GEOGRAPHIC REGION. THE FEES CHARGED FOR DANCE INSTRUCTION ARE LESS THAN THOSE CHARGED BY ITS FOR PROFIT COMPETITORS. THE REVENUE PROVIDED BY THIS PROGRAM SERVICE ALLOWS IT TO FULFILL ITS MISSION WHICH IS DECRIBED IN FULL FOR SECTION III. IN ADDITION, THE AHCL HOLDS VARIOUS FUNDRAISERS THOUGHTOUT THE YEAR TO RAISE FUNDS TO FULFILL ITS MISSION. FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED MAY 31, 2024, THE AHCL HAS RESUMED LIMITED GRANTS TO OTHER NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN ITS GEOGRAPHIC REGION AS THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC WANES. IN ADDITION, THE AHCL PROVIDES FUNDING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS EACH YEAR TO GRADUATING SENIORS AT ABINGTON HEIGHTS HIGH SCHOOL, CLARKS SUMMIT, PENNSYLVANIA. THESE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED FOR POST SECONDARY STUDY IN THE FIELDS OF ART, EDUCATION AND DANCE.
