PGA IS A 15-WEEK WORKFORCE AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, SPONSORED BY THE WILLIAM PENN FOUNDATION TO IMPROVE WORKER'S SKILLS IN LAND CARE, GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE AND WATER QUALITY. PROVIDED RENOVATION, REPAIR, AND PAINTING (RRP) CERTIFICATION CLASSES ON THE EPA'S FINAL RULE 40 CFR 745.90, LEAD SAFE PRACTICE REQUIREMENTS. PROVIDED LEAD SAFETY EDUCATION TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS WITH VILLANOVA, DREXEL UNIVERSITIES, AND THE UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA'S CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EXCELLENCE IN TOXICOLOGY (CEET) IN WEST PHILADELPHIA. PARTNERED WITH THE PHILADELPHIA ORCHARD PROJECT (POP) TO MAINTAIN AND PRESERVE STRAWBERRIES, APPLE, PEACH, PLUM, CHERRY AND FIG TREES AT THE OVERBROOK CENTER. PARTNERED WITH PENN STATE EXTENSION TO ADMINISTER DEPT. OF AGRICULTURE NRCS GRANT ON HIGH TUNNEL IRRIGATION AND WATER QUALITY SAMPLING PRACTICES.COLLECTED LITTER AND REDUCED LITTER INDEX THROUGH ROBUST TRASH COLLECTION SERVICES ON FIVE WEST PHILADELPHIA COMMERCIAL CORRIDORS FOR WYNNEFIELD OVERBROOK REDEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (WORC). ENGAGED WORKING GROUP FOR THE OVERBROOK FARMACY MASTER PLAN THAT ILLUSTRATES THE OEEC'S "BROWNFIELD TO GREENFIELDS" TRANSFORMATION STRATEGIES. PARTNERED WITH PURDUE UNIVERSITY'S EPICS INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PROGRAM. VIRTUALLY ASSISTED ENGINEERING STUDENTS WITH THE DESIGN OF RENEWABLE ENERGY SYSTEMS FOR THE OEEC. HEALTHY LIVING INITIATIVES: PARTNERED WITH UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA'S NETTER CENTER (AUNI) TO HOST (VIRTUAL) WEEKLY NUTRITION CLASSES FOR SENIORS. THE OEEC DONATED VEGETABLE CROP FROM HIGH TUNNEL/GREENHOUSE PRODUCTION TO THE NEIGHBORS.
