FOSTER AND KINSHIP CARE - THE FOSTER CARE PROGRAM WITH FAMILIES UNITED NETWORK, INC. CONTINUES TO EXPAND THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA. INCLUDED IN FOSTER AND KINSHIP IS A DRUG AND ALCOHOL MONITORING PROGRAM.


RESIDENTIAL CARE - FAMILIES UNITED NETWORK, INC. OPERATES THE FOLLOWING RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITIES:1) ASHLER MANOR - ON OUR ASHLER MANOR CAMPUS, WE OFFER THREE LICENSED COMMUNITY RESIDENTIAL CARE PROGRAMS. THE FIRST IS OUR DORM PROGRAM WHICH HAS A CAPACITY OF 25 RESIDENTS. THIS PROGRAM IS APPROPRIATE FOR DEPENDENT OR DELINQUENT ADOLESCENT FEMALES AGED 12-18. THE SECOND IS OUR LIFE READINESS PROGRAM WHICH HAS A CAPACITY FOR 10 DEPENDENT OR DELINQUENT FEMALES AGED 15-20. THE THIRD PROGRAM IS OUR TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAM WHICH HAS A CAPACITY FOR 4 DEPENDENT OR DELINQUENT FEMALES AGED 17-21. CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O.THESE PROGRAMS OFFER FOCUSED SERVICES FOR PREGNANT TEENS, DRUG AND ALCOHOL ABUSE, AND TRAUMA & ABUSE/SEXUAL ABUSE. EMERGENCY SHELTER CARE IS ALSO OFFERED.2) ARBORVALE MANOR - ARBORVALE MANOR IS OUR COMMUNITY BASED LIFE READINESS PROGRAM FOR ADOLESCENT MALES AGES 15 TO 20. OUR GOAL IS TO HELP GUIDE YOUNG MEN THROUGH THE DIFFICULT PROCESS OF BEING IN CARE AND THE EXTRAORDINARILY DIFFICULT PROCESS OF PREPARING THEMSELVES TO LEAVE CARE.WHITE ROSE MANOR - WHITE ROSE MANOR IS A FACILITY THAT OFFERS TWO LICENSED COMMUNITY RESIDENTIAL CARE PROGRAMS. THE FIRST IS OUR LIFE READINESS PROGRAM WHICH HAS A CAPACITY FOR 8 DEPENDENT OR DELINQUENT FEMALES AGED 15-20. THE SECOND PROGRAM IS OUR TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAM WHICH HAS A CAPACITY FOR 4 DEPENDENT OR DELINQUENT FEMALES AGED 17-21. ADOPTION - FAMILIES UNITED NETWORK, INC. OFFERS PRIVATE ADOPTION SERVICES AS WELL AS OFFERING SERVICES TO FAMILIES ADOPTING CHILDREN THROUGH THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM (STATE-WIDE ADOPTION NETWORK "SWAN"). FAMILIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WERE MATCHED WITH CHILDREN ALREADY IN CARE OR CHILDREN REGISTERED ON THE PENNSYLVANIA ADOPTION EXCHANGE.FAMILIES UNITED NETWORK, INC. CONTINUES TO MARKET TO YOUNG WOMEN WHO MAY BE EXPERIENCING AN UNPLANNED PREGNANCY AND DECIDE TO SEEK AN ADOPTION. THIS PAST YEAR, OUR AGENCY INCREASED OUR BIRTH PARENT MARKETING, WHICH RESULTED IN AN INCREASE OF CALLS FROM BIRTH MOTHERS INTERESTED IN ADOPTION INFORMATION.CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O. WE HAVE WORKERS AVAILABLE TO PROVIDE SERVICES, ANSWER BIRTH PARENT QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ADOPTION PROCESS, AND CONNECT THEM TO COMMUNITY RESOURCES IF THEY DECIDE TO PARENT. MOST OF THE BIRTH MOTHERS DECIDED TO PARENT IN THE END, HOWEVER WE COMPLETED ONE INFANT PLACEMENT WITH AN ADOPTIVE FAMILY. OUR AGENCY ALSO ASSISTS FAMILIES IN NEED OF HOME STUDIES FOR BOTH DOMESTIC AND THE EVER-CHANGING INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION PROGRAMS.
