DELAWARE VALLEY ORIENTEERING ASSOCIATION, DOING BUSINESS AS "DVOA," IS A PENNSYLVANIA NONPROFIT CORPORATION AND IS A TAX-EXEMPT SECTION 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION. DVOA IS AN ALL-VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION. IN 2022, DVOA CONDUCTED 37 LOCAL ORIENTEERING EVENTS, 1 TWO-DAY NATIONAL RANKING EVENT AND 12 INSTRUCTIONAL EVENTS, ALL OPEN TO MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC, WITH A TOTAL OF 2,596 STARTS FOR THE YEAR. MEMBERS INDIVIDUALLY CONDUCTED 23 EDUCATIONAL/INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS WITH A TOTAL OF 935 PARTICIPANTS. DVOA MAINTAINS 17 PERMANENT COURSES AT VARIOUS PENNSYLVANIA STATE AND LOCAL PARKS, 1 PERMANENT COURSE IN DELAWARE AND 1 PERMANENT COURSE IN NEW JERSEY.
