A NON-PROFIT MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO FOSTERING INFORMATION AND RESOURCE SHARING, DIALOGUE, AND COLLABORATIVE ACTION THAT PRODUCE RESULTS-ORIENTED IMPACT ON HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES ISSUES IN MONTGOMERY AND BUCKS COUNTIES.

VIRTUAL MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS FEATURE SPEAKERS ON TIMELY COMMUNITY TOPICS AND NEEDS. THESE MONTHLY MEETINGS CONVENE APPROXIMATELY 75-100 HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICE PROFESSIONALS FROM THROUGHOUT THE REGION FOR COLLECTIVE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES, REMOVING ORGANIZATIONAL SILOS TO SHARE DIALOGUE, BEST PRACTICES, AND FORM RELATIONSHIPS THAT STRENGTHEN THE SECTOR, WORK AND REGION. WE WEEKLY HOST AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR-CEO VIRTUAL MEETING FOR LEADERS TO CONNECT, BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, AND HAVE A CONFIDENTIAL SPACE TO SHARE NEEDS AND RESOURCES.E-NEWSLETTERS, WEBSITE BLOG AND CALENDAR, AND SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS UPDATE MEMBERS AND THE COMMMUNITY ON OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN THE SECTOR FOR TRAINING, COLLABORATION, NEW SERVICES, JOBS, EVENTS, AND OTHER RESOURCES. OUR TRAINING INSTITUTE OFFERS FREE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR ORGANIZATIONS IN OUR COMMUNITY. THE TRAINING INSTITUTE ANNUALLY OFFERS TRAUMA EDUCATION THROUGH LAKESIDE GLOBAL INSTITUTE, CULTURAL AWARENESS TRAININGS THROUGH PEARL S. BUCK INTERNATIONAL EDUCATORS, AND THE BRIDGES OUT OF POVERTY PROGRAM THROUGH MANNA ON MAIN STREET, WITH ADDITIONAL TRAININGS OFFERED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO RESPOND TO EMERGING COMMUNITY NEEDS.THROUGH THE TRAINING INSTITUTE, WE COORDINATED A TRAIN THE TRAINER COURSE FOR 10 INDIVIDUALS TO BECOME LICENSED ADJUNCT TRAINERS WITH LAKESIDE GLOBAL INSTITUTE, AND VOLUNTEER TRAINERS WITH BUCKS-MONT COLLABORATIVE. THESE TRAINERS WILL OFFER TRAUMA WORKSHOPS WITHOUT COST TO THE COMMUNITY, INCREASING TRAUMA KNOWLEDGE IN THIS REGION.WE LAUNCHED THE BUCKS-MONT TRAUMA COALITION AT THE INVITATION OF THE PA ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE. THE BUCKS-MONT TRAUMA COALITION WILL SUPPORT THE WORK OF HEAL PA AND RESILIENT PA, COMPLEMENTARY AND ALIGNED COALITIONS TO CREATE A TRAUMA INFORMED STATE. OUR ANNUAL TRAUMA SUMMIT ATTRACTS 200-250 INDIVIDUALS TO LEARN FROM LEADERS IN THE FIELD SUCH AS OUR 2022 KEYNOTE SPEAKERS, DR. KENNETH V. HARDY AND RHONDA V. MAGEE, MA, JD ON THE SUMMIT THEME, "OUR EVOLVING JOURNEY: ADVERSE TO HEALING COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENTS." IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE INTERAGENCY COUNCIL OF NORRISTOWN (ICN) AND TRI-COUNTY COMMUNITY NETWORK (TCN), WE LAUNCHED THE RACIAL EQUITY LEARNING COMMUNITY, A CROSS-COUNTY, MULTI-SECTOR INITIATIVE FOR ORGANIZATIONS IN BUCKS AND MONTGOMERY COUNTIES TO COME TOGETHER TO LEARN, BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, AND TAKE ACTION THAT DEEPENS ORGANIZATIONAL AND COLLECTIVE CAPACITY TO ADVANCE RACIAL EQUITY AND JUSTICE.THE COLLABORATIVE ADVOCACY NETWORK (CAN) IS COMMITTED TO DIALOGUE AND COLLECTIVE ACTION THAT EDUCATES, MOBILIZES, AND SUSTAINS IMPACT IN THE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES SECTOR IN BUCKS AND MONTGOMERY COUNTIES. THE CLINIC WAS A SERVICE OF NORTH PENN VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION (WHICH WAS ACQUIRED BY ABINGTON HEALTH IN 2013) AND, SINCE JANUARY 2007, HAS PROVIDED ACCESS TO DENTAL CARE FOR THOUSANDS OF INDIVIDUALS.BEGAN THE DIALOGUE IN OUR (FORMER) FINANCIAL STABILITY CABINET THAT GREW INTO THE YOUR WAY HOME MONTGOMERY COUNTY HOUSING/HOMELESSNESS PROVIDERS' CENTRALIZED INTAKE SYSTEM.PROVIDED THE SPARK, THROUGH OUR (FORMER) FINANCIAL STABILITY CABINET, TO BEGIN A VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE PROGRAM IN OUR COMMUNITY. SINCE ITSINCEPTION IN 2009, THE PROGRAM HAS RETURNED MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO LOWAND MODERATE-INCOME FAMILIES. THE FORMER NORTH PENN UNITED WAY PROVIDED THELEADERSHIP FOR THIS PROGRAM, SUPPORTED BY MANY OF OUR MEMBER AGENCIES.
