HGP IS AN CONSORTIUM OF 19 HISTORICAL SITES CONCENTRATED IN PHILADELPHIA. HGP PROVIDES PROGRAM SUPPORT WITH COORDINATED MARKETING AND OPERATIONAL PLANS.

HISTORIC GERMANTOWN IS A PARTNERSHIP OF EIGHTEEN HISTORICAL SITES THAT HAVE COME TOGETHER TO PROTECT, PRESERVE AND SHARE SOME OF PHILADELPHIAS MOST PRIZED HISTORICAL ASSETS. THE ORGANIZATION FUNCTIONS AS A VISITOR AND COMMUNITY HUB AND WORKS TO INCORPORATE HISTORIC SITES INTO THE LIFE OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. THE ORGANIZATIONS KEYS PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE GERMANTOWN SECOND SATURDAY FESTIVAL, COORDINATED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE LOCAL CDC; AT HOME IN THE OLD GERMAN TOWNSHIP HOUSE TOUR; SUSTAINING OUR SITES, AN INITIATIVE AIMED AT RAISING FUNDS FOR EXTERIOR REPAIR PROJECTS AT MEMBER SITES; KIDS CONCERTS IN MARKET SQUARE PARK; PUBLIC AUTHOR AND READING SERIES; ELEPHANTS ON THE AVENUE - RACE, CLASS AND COMMUNITY IN HISTORIC GERMANTOWN (2015-2017) - PEW CENTER FOR ARTS AND HERITAGE FUNDED COMMUNITY PROGRAM USING ART AS A CATALYST FOR ENGAGEMENT AND DIALOGUE AROUND ISSUES OF RACE AND CLASS, CULTURE KEEPERS YOUTH PROGRAM AND A NUMBER OF ART AND HISTORY PUBLIC PROGRAMS. HISTORIC GERMANTOWN ALSO ASSISTS WITH THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE AWARD WINNING HISTORY HUNTERS YOUTH REPORTER PROGRAM.


THE SUSTAINING OUR SITE (SOS) FUND WAS LAUNCHED IN 2014 TO FURTHER THE SUSTAINABILITY OF ALL MEMBER SITES AND TO DRAW THE CONSORTIUM SITES TOGETHER IN COLLECTIVE DEVELOPMENT. THE FUNDS MISSION IS TO PAY FOR THE PRESERVATION, REPAIR, AND MAINTENANCE PROJECTS OF THE MEMBERS SITES.


THE WILLIAM PENN FOUNDATION. THIS COMMUNITY GRANT SUPPORTS TO IMPROVE, DOCUMENT, PROMOTE, AND INCREASE OUR COMMUNITY ACCESS TO AND EQUITY IN THE PUBLIC SPACES OF OUR 19 MEMBER SITES.


THE PEW CENTER FOR ARTS AND HERITAGE. THIS GRANT SUPPORTS THAT HISTORIC GERMANTOWN, STENTON, AND CLIVDEN WOULD COLLABORATE WITH THE 19-MEMBER HISTORIC GERMANTOWN CONSORTIUM TO BUILD CAPACITY FOR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT THROUGH IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL MEANS.
