BASIC RESEARCH LIMR BASIC RESEARCH FOCUSES ON THE ADVANCEMENT OF KNOWLEDGE FOR VARIOUS DISEASES AND CONDITIONS. IN CONJUNCTION WITH LIMR'S CORE RESEARCH PROGRAMS IN CANCER AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE, LIMR INVESTIGATORS ALSO STUDY ARTHRITIS, DIABETES, LUPUS, INFECTIOUS DISEASE, NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS, GASTROINTESTINAL DISEASE, REGENERATIVE MEDICINE AND POPULATION HEALTH, ALL WITH THE GOAL OF IMPROVING HEALTH AND WELL-BEING.


CLINICAL RESEARCH LIMR CLINICAL RESEARCH IS CONDUCTED PRIMARILY IN ONCOLOGY AND CARDIOLOGY BUT ALSO INCLUDES OTHER DISEASES AND DISORDERS. THIS MEANS PATIENTS AND PARTICIPANTS HAVE ACCESS TO STATE-OF-THE-ART CLINICAL TRIALS AND NEW TREATMENTS BEFORE THEY BECOME AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THIS ALLOWS PATIENTS TO BE MORE ACTIVE IN THEIR HEALTH CARE.


NEW TECHNOLOGY / INNOVATIONS / OTHER LIMR HAS INITIATED A UNIQUE HYBRID MIX OF KNOWLEDGE-BASED ACADEMIC CULTURE WITH INVENTION-BASED ENTREPRENEURIAL CULTURE. IT IS CALLED AN ACAPRENEURIAL STRATEGY. TO DATE, MORE THAN 15 BIOMEDICAL START-UP COMPANIES HAVE INCUBATED IN LIMR SIDE-BY-SIDE WITH OUR RESEARCH LABORATORIES.
