MEMBER SUPPORT - PROVIDE THE DEVELOPMENT, TRAINING, PROGRAMS, TOOLS, MATERIALS AND SUPPORT IN SIX LANGUAGES ENABLING OVER 28,000 MEMBERS IN 20 COUNTRIES AND TERRITORIES. TO HELP WOMEN AND GIRLS THROUGH PROGRAMS LEADING TO SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT. OUTCOMES INCLUDE INCREASING EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS AND THE ABILITY TO EARN A LIVING, QUALITY OF LIFE, SENSE OF SELF WORTH AND SELF DETERMINATION, AND OPPORTUNITIES TO CONTINUE THE CYCLE OF GROWTH AND INDEPENDENCE FOR THEIR FAMILY AND THEIR COMMUNITY.
THE SOROPTOMIST LIVE YOUR DREAM: EDUCATION AND TRAINING AWARDS FOR WOMEN IS ONE OF SOROPTIMIST'S CORNERSTONE PROGRAMS. IT PROVIDES GIRLS WITH ACCESS TO PROFESSIONAL ROLE MODELS, CAREER EDUCATION AND THE RESOURCES TO LIVE THEIR DREAMS. CLUBS WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH GIRLS WHO FACE OBSTACLES SUCH AS POVERTY OR TEEN PREGNANCY, IN SMALL GROUPS TO PROVIDE THEM WITH THE INFORMATION AND RESOURCES SUCH AS CAREER OPPORTUNITIES, SETTING AND ACHIEVING GOALS, OVERCOMING OBSTACLES TO SUCCESS AND HOW TO MOVE FORWARD AFTER SETBACKS OR FAILURES. SINCE, ITS INCEPTION THE PROGRAM HAS REACHED MORE THAN 73,000 GIRLS ACROSS 14 COUNTRIES AND TERRITORIES.
