WYNCOTE AUDUBON SOCIETY'S MISSION IS TO CONSERVE AND RESTORE NATURE ECOSYSTEMS, FOCUSING ON BIRDS, OTHER WILDLIFE, AND THEIR HABITATS FOR THE BENEFIT OF HUMANITY AND EARTH'S BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY.

ANNUAL APPEAL: EACH FALL, WYNCOTE AUDUBON CONDUCTS A DIRECT MAIL APPEAL TO MEMBERS FOR UNRESTRICTED SUPPORT. PROMOTING W.A.S. NATURAL HISTORY PROGRAMS AND ENVIROMENTAL EDUCATION TO OVER 2,000 MEMBERS IN THE PHILADELPHIA AND EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY AREA.


ANNUAL DINNER: THE 32TH ANNUAL DINNER WAS NOT HELD DUE TO COVID 19. THE ANNUAL DINNER WAS CREATED AS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR MEMBERS TO ENJOY AN EVENING TOGETHER IN A SOCIAL SETTING, HEAR A PROGRAM PRESENTED BY A SPEAKER, AND AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO RECONGNIZE INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE MADE MEANINGFUL CONTRIBUTIONS TO CONSERVATION. THE 2020 EXPENSE COVERED THE COST OF AWARDS.


SPECIAL PROJECTS: BIRDATHON AND HARDY PLANT SOCIETY.


PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS: ACTIVITIES SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO PROMOTE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF ENVIROMENTAL ISSUES AND ACTUAL UPKEEP EXPENSES FOR CERTAIN AREAS: THESE INCLUDE MILITIA HILL HAWK WATCH, CROSSWICKS, AND BIRD SAFE PHILLY.
