FOUNDED IN 1967, THE SENIOR ADULT ACTIVITY CENTER OF INDIAN VALLEY PROVIDES SUPPORT SERVICES TO ADULTS AGE 55 AND OLDER SO THAT THEY REMAIN ACTIVE, HEALTHY, AND INDEPENDENT. SEE SCHEDULE O FOR MORE DETAIL.

Part 3 - Line 4a

SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY THROUGH A WIDE VARIETY OF PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES. THE CENTER ALSO PROVIDES AN ON-SITE SOCIAL WORKER TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT AND SERVICES.


CONGREGATE AND MEALS ON WHEELS MEAL PROGRAMS. THE CONGREGATE MEAL PROGRAM PROVIDES A DAILY HOT MEAL WHICH MEETS AT LEAST 1/3 OF THE RECOMMENDED DAILY ALLOWANCE FOR NUTRITION AS WELL AS THE SOCIAL VALUE OF JOINING OTHERS FOR HEALTHY EATING AND CONVERSATION. 10,387 MEALS WERE SERVED DURING THE YEAR. MEALS ON WHEELS PROGRAM BENEFITS APPROXIMATELY 165 HOMEBOUND INDIVIDUALS EACH DAY. DURING THE YEAR, APPROXIMATELY 200 VOLUNTEERS ASSISTED IN DELIVERING OVER 80,000 MEALS.
