THE SEVERANCE FUND HAS BEEN CREATED AND ESTABLISHED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING SEVERANCE BENEFIT FOR ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES IN ORDER TO PROVIDE CERTAIN FINANCIAL PROTECTION FOR SUCH EMPLOYEES UPON SEVERANCE, TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT OR IN THE EVENT OF THEIR DEATH, FOR THEIR BENEFICIARIES. SEVERANCE BENEFITS OF $424,700 WERE PAID DURING 2021 TO (7) RETIRED PARTICIPANTS. AS OF 12/31/21 THERE WERE (17) ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS, (1) DECEASED PARTICIPANT WHOSE BENEFICIARY IS ENTITLED TO RECEIVE BENEFITS AND (6) RETIRED PARTICIPANTS RECEIVING BENEFITS.
