THE MISSION OF UNIVERSITY ACADEMY CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL IS BASED UPON THE PHILOSOPHY THAT EVERYONE CAN MAKE A CONTRIBUTION AND THAT INDIVIDUALS WORKING TOGETHER CAN MAKE AN IMPACTING DIFFERENCE. IT IS ALSO THE MISSION OF THE CHARTER SCHOOL TO EDUCATE EVERY STUDENT TO BECOME A LIFELONG LEARNER.

UNIVERSITY ACADEMY CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL PROVIDES A FULL RANGE OF EDUCATIONAL SERVICES APPROPRIATE TO GRADES 9 THROUGH 12. THE CHARTER SCHOOL COMPLETED THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR, DURING WHICH THERE WAS AN AVERAGE ENROLLMENT OF APPROXIMATELY 430 STUDENTS.MAJOR INITIATIVES FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR INCLUDED CONTINUING EFFORTS TO IMPROVE STUDENT PERFORMANCE. SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENTS WERE ALSO MADE TO THE SCHOOL'S TECHNOLOGICAL INFRASTRUCTURE. PORTABLE DEVICES WERE PURCHASED AND DISTRIBUTED TO ALLOW FOR REMOTE INSTRUCTION DURING THE PANDEMIC. MEANWHILE IMPROVEMENTS WERE MADE TO HVAC UNITS DURING THE LOCKDOWN TO PROVIDE FOR BETTER AIR QUALITY WITHIN THE SCHOOL BUILDING. TEMPERATURE MONITORING SYSTEMS, PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND HEALTH TRACKING SYSTEMS WERE ALSO PURCHASED BY THE SCHOOL IN ORDER TO EFFECTIVELY DEAL WITH THE PANDEMIC. THE SCHOOL ALSO RECEIVED AN UNCONDITIONAL LEVEL ONE CHARTER RENEWAL FROM THE NJ DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.
