COMMUNITY SERVICE BLOCK GRANT - TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO STATES AND LOCAL COMMUNITIES, WORKING THROUGH A NETWORK OF COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES AND OTHER NEIGHBORHOOD-BASED ORGANIZATIONS, FOR THE REDUCTION OF POVERTY, REVITALIZATION OF LOW-INCOME COMMUNITIES, AND EMPOWERMENT OF LOW-INCOME FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS IN RURAL AND URBAN AREAS TO BECOME FULLY SELF-SUFFICIENT.


OCS: LEGAL TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE - TO SUPPORT ENHANCED STATE, REGIONAL AND NATIONAL T/TA TO STRENGTHEN AND EXPAND THE CAPACITY AND ABILITY OF COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES TO DEAL WITH LEGAL ISSUES, ESPECIALLY THOSE DEALING WITH THE FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND GOVERNANCE OF THEIR AGENCIES FUNDED UNDER CSBG.


EITC - A TAX BENEFIT FOR WORKING PEOPLE WHO EARN LOW-TO-MODERATE INCOME, ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH CHILDREN.
