EMBRACE KIDS FOUNDATION EXISTS TO LIGHTEN THE BURDEN AND IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER, SICKLE CELL, AND OTHER SERIOUS DISORDERS IN THE NEW JERSEY/NEW YORK CITY METROPOLITAN AREA.

EMBRACE KIDS STAFF PROVIDES FAMILY SERVICES, TEACHING AND TUTORING AND OTHER CRITICAL INTERVENTIONS TO 200 FAMILIES IN 2021. EMBRACE KIDS PROVIDED DIRECT FINANCIAL AID TO 160 PEDIATRIC PATIENT FAMILIES SO THAT THEY CAN PAY RENT, PROVIDE GROCERIES, COVER COLLEGE TUITION AND HAVE TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM THE MEDICAL CAMPUS. SIGNIFICANT FUNDING WAS PROVIDED TO THE LOCAL CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AND LOCAL MEDICAL SCHOOL TO FUND A PEDIATRIC NURSE NAVIGATOR AND FACULTY DEVELOPMENT FOR PEDIATRIC ONCOLOGY. EMBRACE KIDS RELAUNCHED IN PERSON PROGRAMMING FOR PATIENT FAMILIES AFTER A HIATUS DUE TO THE PANDEMIC.
