THIS SERVICE CONSISTS OF ANSWERING EMERGENCY CALLS AND PROVIDING EMERGENCY CARE 24 HOURS A DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK IN THE BOROUGH. NON EMERGENCY TRANSPORTATION CALLS ARE HANDLED FOR ALL BOROUGH RESIDENTS AT SELECT HOURS. ADDITIONALLY CONVALESCENT EQUIPMENT IS LOANED TO RESIDENTS AS NEEDED. ALL SERVICES PERFORMED BY THE CORPORATION ARE FREE OF CHARGE. FOR THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2022, THE BERGENFIELD VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE CORP., INC. HANDLED 1,681 EMERGENCY CALLS AND 654 NON EMERGENCY CALLS.


CPR TRAINING CLASSES ARE OFFERED TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE BOROUGH OF BERGENFIELD AT A MINIMAL CHARGE. THE INCOME RECEIVED IS USED TO OFFSET THE COSTS OF MAINTAINING THE EQUIPMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THE CLASSES.
