(CLRP) ADVOCATES FOR LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS IN INSTITUTIONS, AND IN THE COMMUNITY WHO HAVE, OR ARE PERCEIVED TO HAVE, PSYCHIATRIC DISABILITIES. CLRP PROMOTES INITIATIVES THAT INTEGRATE CLIENTS INTO THE COMMUNITY AND RESPECT THEIR FREEDOM, DIGNITY, AND SELF-FULFILLMENT.

GENERAL ADVOCACY PROGRAM - PROVIDED FREE LEGAL COUNSEL AND REPRESENTATION TO 587 INDIGENT CLIENTS OF THE STATE OF CT DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION SERVICES IN INPATIENT FACILITIES AND IN THE COMMUNITY ON MATTERS RELATED TO THEIR TREATMENT, CIVIL RIGHTS, SELF-DETERMINATION AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY.


HOUSING SUPPORT ADVOCACY PROGRAM - PROVIDED FREE LEGAL ASSISTANCE TO 58 INDIGENT CLIENTS OF THE STATE OF CT DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION SERVICES WHICH HELPS ADVOCATE COMMUNITY HOUSING ISSUES AND INDIGENT CLIENTS IN THE COMMUNITY.
