APSIA CONVENED ADMISSIONS STAFF FROM 26 MEMBERS FOR THEIR ANNUAL MEETINGS ONLINE IN JUNE 2021; SESSIONS INCLUDED DEI EFFORTS AT APSIA SCHOOLS, RECRUITMENT TRENDS, AND SECURING FUNDING AND SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS. IT PIVOTED ITS ANNUAL MEETINGS FOR CAREER STAFF TO A SERIES OF WEBINARS IN SUMMER AND FALL 2021 ON TOPICS SUCH AS THE FUTURE OF WORK, CAREERS IN GLOBAL HEALTH, SUSTAINABILITY CAREERS IN EUROPE, AND MENTAL HEALTH AND INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS CAREER DEVELOPMENT. LIKEWISE, THE ANNUAL MEETINGS OF ALUMNI RELATIONS, COMMUNICATIONS, AND DEVELOPMENT STAFF MOVED TO A SERIES OF WEBINARS IN 2021 EXPLORING TOPICS SUCH AS SUCCESS AND CHALLENGES IN ALUMNI RELATIONS, CELEBRATING COMMENCEMENT VIRTUALLY, AND BEST PRACTICES OF CULTIVATING DONORS VIRTUALLY. APSIA WELCOMED 22 REPRESENTATIVES FROM 20 MEMBERS AND AFFILIATES TO THE ANNUAL DEANS/DIRECTORS MEETING ON APRIL 21-22, 2022 IN MADRID. AN ADDITIONAL SIX INSTITUTIONS PARTICIPATED VIRTUALLY. TOPICS INCLUDED MENTAL HEALTH IN OUR COMMUNITIES, ADVANCING INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS EDUCATION AMID DEMOCRATIC DECLINE AND GEOPOLITICAL TENSION, AND ADAPTING OUR CURRICULA TO MEET THE MARKETPLACE. IT SUPPORTED OUTREACH TO EMPLOYERS IN THE PUBLIC, PRIVATE, NON-PROFIT, AND MULTILATERAL SECTORS. IT ALSO HOSTED TWO ONLINE GRADUATE SCHOOL FAIRS IN JULY AND SEPTEMBER 2021, AS WELL AS 16 SMALL GROUP EVENTS IN FALL 2021 TO CONNECT PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS WITH MEMBER GRADUATE SCHOOLS. APSIA PARTICIPATED IN NUMEROUS OUTREACH EFFORTS TO EXPAND UNDERSTANDING OF THE NEED FOR INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS EDUCATION, INCLUDING VIRTUAL ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO REACH OUT TO STUDENTS, ACADEMIC ADVISORS, FACULTY, AND YOUNG PROFESSIONALS.
