COORDINATE THE ACTIVITES OF THE TOWN OF WEST HARTFORD'S YOUTH SPORTS LEAGUES, PROVIDING A LINK TO THE TOWN'S LEISURE SERVICES DEPARTMENT.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

PROVIDES THE TOWN OF WEST HARTFORD WITH VOLUNTEER YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAMS. THE ASC COORDINATES WITH THE YOUTH SPORTS LEAGUES AND THE TOWN'S LEISURE SERVICES DEPARTMENT. THE LEAGUES ARE CONSIDERED AS MEMBERS OF THE ASC WITH EIGHT OF THE LEAGUES INDEPENDENT SEC. 501(C)(3) QUALIFIED CORPORATIONS THAT COMPLETE THEIR OWN IRS REQUIRED FILINGS. THE FINANCIAL RESULTS OF NINE LEAGUES THAT ARE NOT INDEPENDENT CORPORATIONS AND THEIR FINANCIAL RESULTS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS FILING. DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, BEGININING IN MARCH 2020, AND THROUGH THE FISCAL YEARS ENDED SEPTEMBER 30, 2021 MANY OF THE LEAGUES SCHEDULES OF GAMES AND ACTIVITIES WERE CURTAILED OR CANCELED. REVENUES AND EXPENSES WERE REDUCED ACCORDINGLY, INCLUDING THOSE FOR SEVERAL FALL AND WINTER SEASONS THAT ARE GENERALLY PLANNED, OFTEN WITH REGISTRATION FEES COLLECTED, PRIOR TO SEPTEMBER 30.
