MICU SERVICES - MOBILE INTENSIVE CARE FOR PATIENTS ON BEHALF OF OUR MEMBER HOSPITALS FROM 1/1/2021- 4/1/2021. MOBILE INTENSIVE CARE INVOLVES ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT SERVICES PROVIDED TO PATIENTS REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY (SEE SCHEDULE O FOR DETAILS).
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT CALLS INVOLVE EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS TREATING PATIENTS FOR 911 AND INTER-FACILITY AMBULANCE SERVICE CALLS. ALSO PROVIDED CHARITY CARE TO PATIENTS WHO MET CERTAIN CRITERIA WITHOUT CHARGE OR AT AMOUNTS LESS THAN ESTABLISHED RATES. IN 2021, 0 CALLS WERE PROVIDED AT NO CHARGE OR REDUCED CHARGES DUE TO THE LACK OF INSURANCE COVERAGE OF THE PATIENT AND THE INABILITY TO PAY FOR THESE SERVICES.
