MERCY HEALTH PLAN CARRIES OUT ITS MISSION THROUGH ITS OWNERSHIP AND PARTICIPATION IN A PARTNERSHIP THAT OPERATES HEALTH MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATIONS FOR MEDICAID ENROLLEES AND MEDICAID/MEDICARE DUAL ELIGIBLES WITH SPECIAL NEEDS. THE PARTNERSHIP, GATEWAY HEALTH PLAN, PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE MANAGED CARE SERVICES TO MEDICAID RECIPIENTS UNDER RISK-BASED CONTRACTS AND THROUGH CONTRACTUAL NETWORKS THAT INCLUDE HOSPITALS, PHYSICIANS, AND OTHER HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS.
