CITY OF REFUGE INTERNATIONAL SUPPORTED 134 ORPHAN CHILDREN AND THEIR COMMUNITIES IN THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO. WE HAVE 20 VOLUNTEERS IN THE US AND 150 VOLUNTEERS IN THE CONGO. PROGRAMS INCLUDE EDUCATION TO ALL AGES INCLUDING COLLEGE STUDENTS AND WORKING PROGRAMS TO PROVIDE FOOD AND CLEAN WATER TO THE COMMUNITY. WE BUILT 1 NEW WELL WHICH WILL PROVIDE CLEAN WATER FOR AN ENTIRE COMMUNITY. THIS WILL REDUCE ILLNESS DUE TO UNHEALTHY DRINKING WATER. PROGRAMS INCLUDE: RECYCLE SCHOLARSHIP FUND, FRESH WATER WELLS, WOODWORKING SHOP, SEWING SCHOOL, FOOD PROGRAM FOR STREET KIDS AND COMMUNITY GARDENS AS WELL AS FOSTER PROGRAM FOR HOMELESS CHILDREN.
