BMP COMMISSIONS,DEVELOPS AND PRODUCES CONTEMPORARY MUSIC-THEATRE WORKS IN THE FORM OF OPERA,MUSICAL, SONG CYCLE, DANCE, THEATRE, FILM, MIXED MEDIA WORKS, AND NEW FORMS YET TO BE DISCOVERED. BMP ENCOURAGES RISK TAKING ARTISTS BY CREATING A STRUCTURE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW WORKS VIA EXPERIMENTATION. IN THE 2022-2023 SEASON, BMP PRODUCED THE WORLD PREMIERES OF THREE NEW PIECES OF OPERA-THEATRE, AS WELL AS FOUR TOURING ENGAGEMENTS OF EXISTING WORKS. ADDITIONALLY,BMP COMMISSIONED AND WORKSHOPED SEVEN PIECES SET TO PREMIERE IN FUTURE SEASONS.
BMP ADMINISTERED BMP: PRODUCER ACADEMY, A PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMFOR EARLY-CAREER CREATIVE AND TOUR PRODUCERS. STUDENTS WERE SELECTED FROM A COMPETITIVE APPLICANT POOL TO RECEIVE EIGHT WEEKS OF TUITION-FREE TRAINING IN ARTISTIC DEVELOPMENT, BUGETING, PITCHING, FUNDRAISING, PRODUCTION AND TOUR MANAGEMENT, AND OTHER CORE SKILLS, WHILE NETWORKING WITH LEADING INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS.
