LOCAL FOOD PROGRAM: 2022 PROJECTS INCLUDED CONTINUING TO CREATE A LOCAL FOOD SYSTEM LOCATED IN THE DOWNTOWN THROUGH A BROWNFIELD RE-ADAPT OF A FORMER GAS STATION/CONVENIENCE STORE TO A LOCAL FOOD DIRECT MARKET TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY WITH FRESH, HEALTHY LOCAL FOODS, INCLUDING PREPARED FOODS FROM A COMMERICAL KITCHEN, A 1,600 SQ FT VICTORY GARDEN AS A COVID RESPONSE PROJECT TO TEACH HEALTHY LIVING, SELF-SUFFICENCY BY GROWING, FREE HARVESTING TO THE COMMUNITY IN NEED OF FOOD ASSISTANCE, AND TEACHING KIDS & FAMILIIES HOW TO PREPARE MEALS IN PARTNRSHIP WITH OTHER LOCAL ORGS.


SMALL BUSINESS PROGRAM: 2022 PROJECTS INCLUDED CONTINUING TO DEVELOP THE MOM&POP SHOP PROJECT TO INCLUDE SMALL BUSINESS INCUBATION FOR PARTICIPANTS INCLUDING BUSINESS PLANS AND FINANCIAL PLANNING, AND PREPARATION TO OWN A STOREFRONT ON THE MAIN STREET.
