THE MISSION OF CARDINAL STAGE COMPANY IS TO ADVANCE PROFESSIONAL THEATER IN BLOOMINGTON, IN. WE AIM TO CULTIVATE A LIFE-LONG PASSION FOR THE STAGE BY OFFERING DIVERSE, HIGH-QUALITY PRODUCTIONS IN TANDEM WITH OUTREACH AND EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THE CULTURAL AND ECONOMIC VIBRANCY OF SOUTH-CENTRAL INDIANA.

CARDINAL STAGE PRODUCED FOUR SHOWS AS PART OF ITS MAINSTAGE SEASON AND ONE THEATRE FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES (TYA) SHOW AS PART OF ITS CARDINAL FOR KIDS SERIES. CARDINAL STAGE UTILIZED THREE UNIQUE VENUES FOR ITS PRODUCTIONS, INCLUDING MCCORMICK CREEK STATE PARK AMPHITHEATER (FOR EVERY BRILLIANT THING), THE BUSKIRK-CHUMLEY THEATER (FOR A YEAR WITH FROG & TOAD), AND THE JOHN WALDRON ARTS CENTER (FOR THE MOUNTAINTOP, ADA AND THE ENGINE, AND HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH). CARDINAL ALSO PRESENTED TWO SPECIAL EVENTS: A SCREENING OF ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW IN OCTOBER AND THE BIG BANG GALA IN APRIL IN COLLABORATION WITH BLOOMINGTON PLAYWRIGHTS PROJECT AND THE PIGASUS INSTITUTE.
